Tier

Non-Clinical

Peer Support

Non-Clinical

Support grounded in lived experience, mutual understanding, encouragement, and human connection.

Peer Support on SerenitySpaces creates room for people to be met by someone who understands aspects of their experience from the inside.

Peer support specialists may help clients feel less alone, process challenges conversationally, build coping routines, reflect on lived experience, and stay connected during difficult seasons. The value is not clinical authority, but the steady presence of someone who can say, “I understand this kind of terrain,” while still respecting boundaries and scope.

SerenitySpaces supports peer work through secure sessions, optional voice or video, encrypted notes, client history, inbox messaging, crisis resource signposting, goals, and action items. This makes it possible to provide warm human support while still maintaining structure and accountability.

Peer Support is not therapy and should not be presented as diagnosis or clinical treatment. When a client needs clinical care, crisis response, or specialized intervention, referral to an appropriate licensed or emergency resource is part of responsible support.

Philosophical Counseling

Non-Clinical

Reflective conversation for people working through meaning, values, identity, ethics, purpose, and life questions.

Philosophical Counseling on SerenitySpaces is for clients who need a thoughtful space to examine meaning, values, purpose, identity, moral conflict, or the deeper assumptions shaping their lives.

This work is not about diagnosing a client. It is about helping them think more clearly, live more deliberately, and understand the ideas they are using to navigate the world. A philosophical counselor may help a client explore questions of grief, purpose, freedom, responsibility, mortality, relationships, selfhood, or moral uncertainty.

SerenitySpaces supports this through session series, encrypted notes, highlights, pinned messages, client reflections, action items, and AI-assisted summaries when enabled and consented to. These tools help preserve the thread of inquiry across multiple sessions.

Philosophical Counseling is not licensed psychotherapy unless provided by a properly licensed clinician acting within their professional scope. If a client’s needs become clinical, crisis-oriented, or outside the practitioner’s competence, referral should be made.

Grief Support

Non-Clinical

Compassionate support for loss, mourning, remembrance, transition, and learning how to live with absence.

Grief Support on SerenitySpaces gives clients a place to speak honestly about loss without being rushed toward closure.

Grief support practitioners may help clients process bereavement, life transitions, anticipatory grief, pet loss, estrangement, identity loss, or major changes that leave an emotional absence behind. The work often centers on witnessing, meaning-making, memory, ritual, and helping the client continue living without pretending the loss is small.

SerenitySpaces supports grief work through encrypted notes, session series, client reflections, message highlights, pinned memories, action items, and private between-session messaging. The platform can preserve the emotional thread of the work while keeping sensitive details protected.

Grief Support is not the same as clinical treatment for complicated grief, trauma, suicidality, or severe depression. Practitioners should refer clients to licensed or emergency support when the client’s needs exceed non-clinical grief care.
